Carbon Neutral

Commitment to carbon neutrality

Towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, we are steadily building on small, incremental improvements at the operational level and planned capital investments.

We aim to reduce emissions by 30% by 2030 (compared to 2013 levels) and achieve carbon neutrality (net zero) by 2035.

background

The background behind what the country and market are demanding

Mandatory decarbonization standards

Due to the government's 2050 CO2 reduction target and major manufacturers' requests for Scope 3 disclosure, demonstrating CO2 reduction performance has become a mandatory condition for continuing business relationships and for new business selections.

  • National GX Promotion and 2050 Decarbonization Target

Emission reduction and energy efficiency standards are required across the entire manufacturing industry.

  • Tightening of procurement standards by suppliers

Prompt response to requests for disclosure of CO2 data across the entire supply chain.

  • Disclosure of actual figures and plans on the web

Gaining trust as an environmentally conscious factory and improving competitiveness in securing orders.

Policy & Targets

Our company's policies and clear quantitative targets

Basic policy Steady decarbonization through "accumulation of manageable small improvements" and "planned equipment introduction."

  • 2030 mid-term target (compared to 2013)

    30% reduction

Maximizing the use of foundational technologies and promoting coordinated improvements in operations.

  • 2035 long-term goal

    Effectively zero

    Carbon neutrality achieved.

Track Record

Our progress to date and ongoing improvements at the workplace

We have been continuously building the foundation for power optimization for over 10 years.

[Strengths on site]We share monthly electricity data with everyone and make energy-saving activities a daily habit.

Track record in infrastructure development and organizational strengthening (2012-2025)

  1. 2012

    • Solar power generation system installation Start of electricity sales operations
  2. 2017

    • Compressor number control and demarcation control system implementation Power visualization
  3. 2019

    • Standardization of air conditioner operation rules Thorough air conditioning management
  4. 2021

    • Company-wide LED lighting conversion completed. High efficiency
  5. From 2024

    • CN Promotion Team established and annual goals set. Company-wide promotion system
  6. From 2025

    • [Limited Time Offer] External Support Portable EMS Trial The starting point of my DIY EMS
    • We obtain information and various policies from experts every month. Acquiring knowledge of the latest information

* Following the loan and training provided by a major automotive parts manufacturer for a portable EMS (Electronics Manufacturing System), we developed line-level measurement and our own in-house development capabilities.

Small improvements implemented on-site (2025-)

  • Optimal reduction of air pressure 650 → 570 kPa

Achieved a definite reduction in power consumption through pressure optimization.

  • Thorough reduction of standby power consumption Turn off the power frequently

We have established power management rules after work completion as a routine part of our operations.

  • Promoting No Overtime Days Every Wednesday and Friday

Reduced power consumption through shortened operating hours and synchronized switching off of all lights in the building.

Road map

What we will be working on in the future (practical roadmap)

From establishing our own EMS (Energy Management System) to self-consumption of renewable energy, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.

  1. 2026 Infrastructure development

Strengthening environmental policies and developing our own EMS (Energy Management System).

On-site installation and operation of our proprietary EMS (1 unit). Reorganization of data collection and operational management system.

  2. 2027 horizontal expansion

Company-wide deployment of EMS and replacement with high-efficiency air conditioning systems begins.

We have completed the horizontal deployment of EMS (Energy Management System) throughout the entire factory. This enables visualization of overall power consumption and highly accurate, optimal control.

  3. 2033 Renewable energy independence

Battery storage system installation and complete self-consumption

We have introduced industrial-grade battery storage. We store surplus electricity generated by our own solar power generation and shift to complete self-consumption with 100% batteries.

  4. 2035 goal achievement

High-efficiency air conditioning upgrade and CN (Common Network) achieved.

We have completed a complete overhaul of our air conditioning system to the latest high-efficiency technology. We have achieved net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.

The impetus for developing our own EMS (background to the initiative)

Our experience of receiving a portable EMS (Energy Management System) on loan from a business partner (a major automotive parts manufacturer) and being provided with line-level power visualization and guidance support for a certain period of time became the starting point for launching our own in-house EMS, driven by the field staff.
